International Legal Issues

Students looking for paper topics on international legal issues should look at CIAO’s course packs.  Course packs are ready-made selections of materials from CIAO – journal articles, book chapters, working papers and policy briefs – for learning about international affairs. The articles and chapters are chosen to provide students with opposing views and provocative arguments for issues ranging from security issues to free trade.

CIAO is an acronym for Columbia International Affairs Online, a comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 onward that includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs.

CIAO is a premium service provided to the law school community by the Law Library.
